Summer Camp

This summer, we are hosting a 5 Day Camp teaching an introduction to audio engineering and production.

If you are interested in the recording, mixing, and mastering process, or maybe even have less than 3 years experience, then this will be perfect for you.

What is this camp about?

The focus is to gain an understanding of fundamental audio environments, tools, and professional recording workflow over the course of 5 days.

 

We will be expanding upon microphones, speakers, recording equipment and how sound works . You will learn how to train your ears and use them in professional situations. Your group will learn signal flow using digital and analog equipment as we dive into fundamental recording and mixing techniques.

July 24th - 28th

from 12pm - 5pm each day.

Who is Duprey Studio Recordings?

Our Studio is a 3,050sqft well-appointed space, developed for the creation, recording, research, development, broadcast of music and other audio & visual arts. DSR provides a creative environment with an inviting attitude, owned and operated by artists.

 

 

When inside, you will find professional and innovative music producers, audio engineers, songwriters and composers. Producing top quality and ensuring everyone leaves happy are core values of our mission and the key drivers of our operations.

 

 

We strive to support and engage with our community, fueling a diverse culture focused on learning, teaching and promoting the power of music.

What are we learning?

We are going to cover the essential elements to be able to record and mix at home or in commercial studios.

We will cover how sound works, the recording process, ProTools, tracking instruments and vocals, editing, mixing and mastering.

Who is the instructor?

Yaschua Duprey, started audio engineering in 2005, and earned degrees in Music Performance and Audio Engineering from Musicians Institute, Hollywood California in 2013. Experienced with analog and digital equipment, including large format consoles, Yaschua specializes in Tracking, Editing, and Mixing and excels in Pop, Rock, and Jazz, but is experienced in all genres.

 

Working credits include J.U.S.T.I.C.E League, Balewa Muhammed, Gumbi Ortiz, The Black Honkeys, Fred Johnson, and more.
